In the early part of 2023, the youngest demons of Pandemonium were begging for social media access and allowances. The queen around here (me) was getting tired of grounding kids for going around the rules in various ways. I sat and tried to figure out a way to let them have some access in a safe way. The idea of Proper Pandemonium was born. This is a family website and a family business. My older demons who are both over 18 were interested in trying things out online like esports teams, YouTube channels, etc. but I knew that the younger ones would make life awful if they didn’t have some kind of access too, so this idea was born.

I bought our domain name and didn’t do anything with it for several months. I got busy. Then in the summer of 2023, I had an epiphany. Growing up, my mom was pretty traditional. She’s never really supported doing anything outside the box. In her world, you grow up, you go to college, you get a good job, and you retire. That’s it. Okay, well, that kind of sucks, right?

My kids wanted to try doing ALL THE THINGS and I decided that I wanted to support them and their ideas. Proper Pandemonium is our family business where the kids can create cool stuff, sell it online, and the younger ones can use our family social media accounts on TikTok, YouTube, etc. so that I can monitor everything closely, be involved with them, and let them earn money for the things they want and hopefully, college (because I’m enough like my mother that I want them all to go to college!). The website is here to support the semi adult kids and provide them a space to connect their socials to a website and monetize. Incidentally, Maverick is in college right now. That’s us. We’re just a family of super creative people living in the Land of the Magic Dragon here in the Ozarks with a bunch of cats. LOL.
